Friendship Peak, located in Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, stands at an altitude of 4,374 meters. It is the largest glacier in the Altai Mountains and is close to the border between China, Russia, Mongolia, and Kharkiv, hence its nickname. As the main peak of the Altai Mountains, Friendship Peak is also the lowest valley glacier in China. Its summit is home to 374 modern glaciers, the largest of which is the Kanas Glacier. Friendship Peak can be seen from Kanas Lake. Due to its remote location, Friendship Peak is rarely accessible and can only be reached by hiking or horseback riding from Kanas Lake, or with a professional guide.

After visiting Friendship Peak, you can return to Kashgar by taxi or private vehicle. From there, you can continue your trip to other parts of Xinjiang or take a bus or train to other major cities in the region.
