The Wuxi Stele Forest Scenic Area is located in Wuxi Park at the south end of the Xiangjiang River Bridge in the southwest of Qiyang County (Wuxi Town), Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, a national national defense education demonstration base, a provincial scenic spot, a Hunan Province Patriotism Education Base, an Advanced Base for the Ideological and Moral Construction of Minors in Hunan Province, and a Hunan Province Integrity Culture Education Base.

The Wuxi Stele Forest in the scenic area is one of the eight major stele forests in China. It has preserved 505 cliff carvings of poems, lyrics, calligraphy and paintings by famous people from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China dynasties. Among them, the "Ode to the Restoration of the Tang Dynasty" written by Tang Dynasty poet Yuan Jie and written in large regular script by calligrapher Yan Zhenqing is particularly famous. Because the text, characters and stone are all unique, it is known as the "Three Wonders of Cliff Carvings". With its antiquity, large stele surface, large number of characters, wonderful calligraphy, unique text and completeness in its current state, it is known as the crown of China's "Three Wonders of Stele".
