
Mount Taibai, the highest peak in the Qinling Mountains and the highest point east of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, stands out among the peaks of the Qinling Mountains. Since ancient times, Mount Taibai has been renowned for its high altitude, cold weather, steep terrain, unique natural beauty, rich resources, and mysterious landscapes, dominating central China.
Taibai Mountain is the highest section of the watershed between the Wei River and the Han River. It has low mountains, medium mountains, and high mountains, with clear boundaries and different characteristics. In particular, the various landforms carved by Quaternary glacial activities are well preserved and clearly identifiable.
Best time to enjoy the flowers : May to June, when the azaleas are in bloom. There are ten thousand mu of azaleas, including four varieties (elegant azalea, golden-backed azalea, dense-branched azalea, and Taibai azalea). The best places to enjoy the flowers are Honghuaping, Xiaban Temple, Tianyuanfangdi, and Dayehai.
The best time to climb the mountain is from June to October. You can reach the summit directly and experience "four seasons in one day, different weather every ten miles".
