Dajiangou, a major tributary of the Qishui River, lies at the foot of Xinglongling. It is a major scenic spot on Huangbaiyuan, with a plank road built along the river. In the famous historical story "Investiture of the Gods," Erlang Shen battled Shen Gongbao. At Juelongling (Xinglongling), Erlang Shen's mount, Black-spotted Tiger, was struck by a divine arrow. The tiger transformed into a mountain, lying at the mouth of Dajiangou, giving the area its name.
