Heniao Mountain is located in Heniao Town, Yuhang, at the border of Hangzhou and Anji. Its summit, crowned by a massive rock, offers a majestic presence. The rolling meadows offer expansive views, offering panoramic views of the Tianmu Mountain Range, including Yaotou Mountain, Hongtao Mountain, and Xianrenshi, extending eastward. Heniao Mountain, at an elevation of 869 meters, is one of Hangzhou's ten highest peaks.
Heniao Mountain is still relatively undeveloped, so climbing it is filled with natural and wild charm. Hiking and climbing along the dirt roads in the mountains, stepping on fallen leaves, smelling the fragrance of flowers, and breathing in the slightly moist mountain air, you will feel refreshed. The lush bamboo forest allows you to fully appreciate the breath of spring.
The best time is in late April and early May, when the mountains are covered with azaleas, wild rhododendrons, and wild wisteria flowers.
