The Qixiakeng Ancient Trail is a mountain road running from Qixiakeng Village in Xikou Town, Fenghua City, Ningbo, to Tangtian Village in Simingshan Town, Yuyao City, Ningbo. It is the settlement of descendants of Wang Xi. Previously, it served as a village road for villagers traveling between the two villages. Its prime location and pristine scenery make it one of Ningbo's most famous ancient trails.
The Qixiakeng Ancient Road, steeped in cultural heritage, is known as the "Road of Tang Poetry." According to statistics, over 400 of the 2,200 poets included in the Complete Poems of the Tang Dynasty traveled along this scenic route. Many of these poets were prominent figures in the Tang dynasty, including Lu Zhaolin, Luo Binwang, Song Zhiwen, He Zhizhang, Zhang Ruoxu, Wang Wei, Meng Haoran, Li Bai, Du Fu, Liu Changqing, Yuan Zhen, and Wen Tingyun, to name a few.
In late autumn, the red maples on both sides of the Qixiakeng Ancient Road complement the colorful mountain scenery.
