Introducing Tiantangzhai

Tiantangzhai, nestled in the Dabie Mountains, forms the watershed between northern and southern China's river systems, and lies at the border between Lu'an City in Anhui Province and Huanggang City in Hubei Province. Water from the north of the mountains flows northward into the Huai River, while water from the south flows southward into the Yangtze River. Therefore, from Tiantangzhai's summit, one can overlook the Central Plains to the north and Jingchu to the south, taking in the towering mountains.

Tiantangzhai's highest peak is one of the main peaks of the Dabie Mountains, forming the Yangtze-Huaihe River watershed. Its water quality is Class A surface drinking water. Along the way, it boasts magnificent passes, towering mountains, lush forests and bamboo groves, dragon pools and waterfalls, and numerous unusual pines and rocks. It was once known as the "First Pass in the Southeast of Wu and Chu," and its majestic scenery is truly spectacular.

Tiantangzhai has the Leshan Water Carnival Month in April, the annual Tianfu Festival on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, the girl-returning-home event, folk song competitions, flower stick playing, flower basket embroidery, dragon lantern dance, dry boat racing, heroic mountain-shaking gongs and drums, and passionate bonfire parties.
