Tongluozhai (a National AAAA-level scenic spot) is located in Tongluozhai Village, Shangtushi Town, southwest of Huoshan County, Lu'an City, Anhui Province. Nestled in the heart of the Dabie Mountains, it's 68 kilometers from the county seat. Provincial Highways 318 and 209 intersect and traverse the scenic area, which covers a total area of ​​92 square kilometers. Its main peak is 1,096 meters above sea level.

Tongluo Village got its name because Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty dreamed of a bright moon turning into a bronze gong and falling on the mountain when he was inspecting Hengshan State (now Huoshan County) in 122 BC.
