Introducing Wuyang River

The Wuyang River Scenic Area is located in Zhenyuan, Shibing and Huangping counties near Kaili City. It includes the Wuyang River Three Gorges, Yuntaishan, Tiexi, Zhenyuan Ancient City and other attractions. It integrates natural landscapes, historical sites and ethnic customs. The unique karst landforms on both sides of the river are amazing.

The Wuyang River's waters vary in color, from light green to emerald green, turquoise to dark green, depending on the depth, topography, temperature, and sunlight. Its beauty surpasses the mountain's. Along the way, there's an isolated village, hidden behind a mountain on the Wuyang River. Access is limited to boats, and the village relies on fishing in the river for survival. With only 23 households and 139 residents, it boasts several centenarians, making it a veritable village of longevity.

The Touxia, Wuluxia, Laodongxia and Guanyinxia from Jiuzhou to Shibing are collectively known as the Upper Wuyang Mountain Gorge, or "Upper Wuyang" for short. The Zhugexia, Longwangxia, Xixia and Dongxia from Shibing to Yueliangwan in Zhenyuan are collectively known as the Lower Huayang Mountain Gorge, or "Lower Wuyang" for short.

These two scenic areas boast numerous bends, treacherous terrain, unusual peaks, rock formations, waterfalls, deep caves, and lush bamboo and forests. Along the river, there are over 200 bends, each with its own unique scenery, and over 200 shoals, each with its own unique charm. The Wuyang River, also known as the Zhenyang River, Wuyang River, Zangke River, Wuxi River, Wushui River, and Wuxi River, is one of the ancient "Five Rivers."

Green water, dangerous peaks and strange gorges are the main features of Wuyang River, and the scenic spot of peacock spreading its tail is the symbol of Wuyang River.
