Introducing Shuangqiaogou

Shuangqiaogou is located in the Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area in Xiaojin County, Sichuan Province. If Balang Mountain is known for its botanical beauty, Haizigou for its beautiful waters, and Changpinggou for its local customs and folkways, then Shuangqiaogou combines the best of each. From a distance, the peaks appear majestic, with twisted branches of withered trees entwined; up close, the water flows gently.

A poem praises the valley: " The mountains create wonders, the trees create scenery, the water depicts the clear sky, the clouds express emotion. The setting sun shrouds the road with mist, a thousand miles away, yet no one is seen returning home on a snowy night . " This truly captures the allure of the valley's beauty. Major scenic spots within the valley include Jueqing Valley, Guozhuang Rock, the Ten-Mile Poplar Forest, Bonsai Beach, Seabuckthorn Forest, Sun and Moon Mirror Rock, Five-Colored Mountain, Hunter Peak, Abi Mountain, and Ancient Ape Peak.

Shuangqiaogou boasts steep, winding terrain and lush forests. The lowlands boast vast birch and cypress forests, while the highlands boast spruce, fir, and redwood. Furthermore, there are vast tracts of sea buckthorn, shrubs, and larch. In spring and autumn, the valley is ablaze with vibrant colors, creating a spectacular spectacle.

Climate and best time to travel

The best seasons to visit Mount Siguniang are summer and autumn.

July and August are the main months of summer when people enjoy viewing flowers and snow. The popular saying of "seeing four seasons in one day" takes place in this season; the traditional folk pilgrimage to Mount Siguniang also takes place in this season.

September-October, autumn: crisp and clear air, snow-capped peaks and waterfalls, thousand-year-old sea buckthorn, alpine meadows, exotic flowers and plants, and colorful forests stretching across the landscape are a feast for the eyes.

Pearl Beach

This is a unique sight in Shuangqiaogou. Every spring, snow water flows down from the mountains, passing through the woods and flowing over the grassy slopes. Here, it encounters a rocky slope dozens of meters wide. Like a naughty child who has suddenly come across a rugged mountain road after passing through an ordinary place, the water jumps and dances here, running and playing among the rocks. When the sun shines on it, it looks like pearls dancing on the rocks, sparkling.

Five-Colored Mountain

One of the most distinctive mountains in Shuangqiaogou, it resembles a newly risen half-moon, its snow-covered peak shimmering with light. It also resembles a felled, thousand-year-old tree, its growth rings clearly visible. A closer look reveals the Five-Colored Mountain, a massive massif inlaid with five massive, roughly one- kilometer-long semicircular rock formations of red, yellow, cyan, blue, and white, each with a perfectly regular arrangement of colors.
