Baisha Island, located at the northernmost tip of Yueqing Bay in Wenzhou, is a picturesque island village. Legend has it that in ancient times, while digging a well in the mountains, the locals unearthed sand as white as snow, hence the name Baisha Island.
The large water vats, artistically arranged stones, corals, hoes, fishing nets, and weeds all together create a unique atmosphere. Strolling along the white-sand coastline, listening to the waves crashing against the rocks, the rustling of leaves in the wind, the chirping of cicadas, and the chirping of birds in the early morning brings a profound sense of peace and tranquility.

Fisherman's Pride Sun Viewing Terrace
"The sky connects with the waves, the morning mist mingles; the Milky Way seems to turn, and the sails dance." Li Qingzhao's "Fisherman's Pride" captures the vast, majestic scene of white sands where the sea and sky meet. Here, one can watch the first rays of sunlight break through the water. Zhang Kai embraces the sea with his arms, feeling a dialogue with nature.
Little Saddle Lookout
Standing on the observation deck, you can take in the panoramic views of the white sandy beach, a truly captivating experience. Visiting on a foggy day, the mist beneath your feet creates a sense of soaring through the clouds, as if transported to a fairyland. Here, you can relax, enjoy the view, and even gaze at the surrounding reefs and observe the ebb and flow of the tide. You'll also notice that the reefs surrounding the beach are popular fishing spots. The small beach we saw is known locally as Houshatou Beach, also known as "Lover's Sand," and is a popular spot for couples to meet.

Jile Temple, a replica of a Qing Dynasty building, is the island's only temple. Its rigorous structure and simple, elegant design create spacious courtyards and surroundings, creating a tranquil and picturesque setting.
