The Nanji Islands are located in the East China Sea, 30 nautical miles outside the mouth of Aojiang River and 56 kilometers away from Aojiang Port. They consist of 52 islands and belong to Pingyang County, Wenzhou. Nanji Island is the largest of them, with a land area of 11.3 square kilometers. It is one of the ten most beautiful islands in China. Its clear water, blue sky, soft sandy beaches, and abundant seafood have made it a popular holiday island.
The Nanji Islands are divided into three scenic areas: Dasha'ao, Sanpanwei, and Zhuyubaiyu, boasting 75 scenic spots. With picturesque mountains, unique rocks, beautiful beaches, verdant grasses, azure seas, and vast skies, the islands boast a unique ecological environment, diverse biodiversity, and abundant seaweed resources, earning them the reputation of "Blue Pasture," "Ice Sea Fairy Mountain," and "Seaweed Kingdom."
Nanji was also the training ground for Zheng Chenggong when he recovered Taiwan, and many relics such as cliff inscriptions remain today.
