Introducing Kaoluo Mountain

Located at the southern tip of Shanglin Lake in Cixi, Zhejiang Province, lies a remarkable mountain, 424 meters above sea level. Lush trees shade the mountain, and roaring waterfalls cascade down its ravines. This is Mount Taoluo (also known as Xianju Mountain). Between East and West Mount Taoluo lies a valley with a swiftly flowing stream at its bottom. This is the Taoluo Stream.

However, the origin of the name of Taoluo Mountain is unknown. It is only partially understood from the literal meaning. The name of the mountain Taoluo has a certain meaning. There is a poem by the ancients that says, "When the embroidery is completed, it will be displayed in the spring garden to attract yellow orioles to perch on the willow branches."

Every mountain, river, rock, and tree on Mount Kaoluo are the work of nature, without a trace of human intervention. Just like its name, it is pristine and simple. The mountain is divided into two peaks, East Kaoluo and West Kaoluo. On a clear day, climb to the summit of East Kaoluo and you'll see the entire Shanglin Lake, with the surrounding Cuiping Mountains crouching at your feet, giving you a sense of commanding the surrounding mountains.
