The Lulang Scenic Area is located in Lulang Town, Bayi District, Nyingchi City, 70 kilometers east of Bayi Town. Lulang, meaning "Dragon King Valley" or "the place where immortals live," is known as a "natural oxygen bar" and "biological gene bank." A popular saying goes, "Once you've visited Gongbululang, you'll forget your hometown." Lulang, situated at an altitude of 3,385 meters, lies on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, about 80 kilometers from Bayi Town in Nyingchi Prefecture. Nestled deep in the mountains and undulating forests, the "Lulang Forest Sea" is formed by the rising hills, flanked by shrubs and dense spruce and pine trees. In the center lies a neat, uniform meadow, seemingly artificially cultivated. Lulang Forest Sea
Composed of thickets and dense spruce and pine trees, it is Lulang's most beautiful scenery. The forest is rich in green, exemplified by the saying, "Young forests are lush and green, while mother forests are secluded." The towering snow-capped Mount Namjagbarwa, reflected against the forest, further enhances the majestic grandeur of the Tibetan Plateau.
Sejila National Forest Park
Sejila National Forest Park is a must-see on the Lulang Scenic Area. Located 78 kilometers east of Bayi Town, Nyingchi County, it forms a branch of the Nyainqentanglha Mountains and forms a vital part of the scenic area. Sejila Forest Park forms the watershed between the Niyang River and the Yarlung Zangbo River. The famous Sichuan-Tibet Highway winds through it. Driving along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway to the Sejila Mountain Pass offers breathtaking views of a sea of clouds and forests. On clear days, you can even gaze at Nanying Bawa Peak in the distance.
Zhaxigang Folk Village
Zhaxigang Folk Village is located in the Dongjiu Township government area of Nyingchi County. Houses with distinct Tibetan styles and buildings that blend Tibetan, Han, and Monpa ethnic characteristics are neatly arranged among the alpine pastures, creating a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. The courtyards are immaculately kept, and the fragrance of flowers permeates the air. Rooms are decorated in traditional Tibetan style, and the ghee lamps in the Buddhist hall are always burning.
