The Pearl Beach Waterfall is 2,445 meters above sea level. The waterfall is 21 meters high and 162 meters wide. It is a typical composite landscape in Jiuzhaigou. It is widely known for being the place where Tang Monk and his disciples waded through water on horseback in the opening credits of the TV series "Journey to the West".

Pearl Beach Waterfall is surrounded by pine and fir trees. Descending from the road, one must cross a dense green corridor before reaching the waterfall. It's not a simple waterfall, but rather a beach with a slope of approximately 20 degrees. The waterfall initially flows slowly over the travertine-clad surface. When the thin layer of water flows over it, it gleams silver in the sunlight like thousands of pearls, hence the name Pearl Beach. The gentle flow and flat surface of Pearl Beach allow visitors to walk barefoot without shoes. However, since the water is fed by meltwater from the snow-capped mountains, the water temperature is relatively low. Even in midsummer, strolling along Pearl Beach can feel chilly and shivering.

This rapid, a vibrant emerald green with a hint of white, boasts the most beautiful, most powerful, and loudest rapids of all in Jiuzhaigou. The plank path to the left of the rapid offers the best vantage point for viewing this turbulent, jade-like torrent.
