
Anshunchang is located on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Dadu River in southwestern Sichuan Province, 11 kilometers from Shimian County. It is the site where Shi Dakai, the renowned Taiping Heavenly Kingdom general, led his troops to their utter destruction. It also serves as a revolutionary memorial site for the victory of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army's forced crossing of the Dadu River.
The "Memorial Hall of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army's Crossing of the Dadu River" with its name written by Jiang Zemin himself was built. The hall is located in the north of Anshunchang and is located in the planned ruins park together with the monument. There are more than 200 precious cultural relics preserved in the hall.
