Liubei Pond Park is located at the foot of Tianzhu Mountain on the north bank of the Minjiang River in Yibin City, with Cuike Mountain lying between them. At the foot of the mountain, a natural canyon has been carved out of a massive rock, over 20 meters deep. A clear spring flows gently from the bottom, winding around the valley floor and immersing itself in the rock, creating a natural wonder. The pond, built within the canyon, offers a glimpse of the blue sky.
The park's renowned Liubei Pond, built over 900 years ago by the renowned Northern Song Dynasty poet and calligrapher Huang Tingjian using natural stone slabs, was inspired by Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Preface." It is one of Yibin's eight best-preserved scenic spots and one of the most well-preserved birthplaces of wine culture.
