Qiandao Lake, located in Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province, is an artificial lake formed by the diversion of the Xin'an River by the Dam. Its waters are crystal clear, and its shape resembles a tree branch. Dotted throughout the lake are 1,078 islands of varying sizes, each with its own unique beauty. Qiandao Lake's waters are among the highest quality of any of China's major rivers and lakes, a nationally recognized Class I water body that meets drinking water standards without any treatment. It is known as "the most beautiful water in the world."
