The Shaoling Stele Pavilion is one of the most representative buildings of Du Fu's Thatched Cottage in Chengdu, often used as a symbol of the thatched cottage. Du Fu often referred to himself in his poems as "Duling Commoner" and "Shaoling Wild Old Man." Therefore, later generations also referred to Du Fu as "Du Shaoling" and Du Fu's Thatched Cottage as "Shaoling Thatched Cottage."
It's a thatched pavilion with a thatched roof. Inside, a stone tablet bears the bold, bold inscription of the four characters "Shaoling Thatched Cottage." These inscriptions were written by Prince Guo Yunli during his visit to the cottage during a visit to Chengdu. As a symbol of both the cottage and Chengdu, it's a popular spot for tourists to take photos.
