Introducing Huxian Holy Mother Mountain

Our Lady Mountain in Hu County is located on the steep ridges of the Qinling Mountains in Hu County, Xi'an. In 1923 , Italian missionary Dechard came here to preach and saw that it was very similar to Mount Calvary where Jesus was crucified. He then wanted to build a church here to uphold the justice of the Holy Church and spread the gospel. After several on-foot surveys by the bishop, he decided to build a church on the Dongshan Holy Land.

The area is beautiful, surrounded by mountains, interlaced with trees, densely populated with Catholics, and has unique cultural landscapes, resembling Mount Calvary. After that, the bishop worked hard to raise funds, build a temple, and cultivate fertile land.
