Banpo International Art District, formerly known as the Textile City Art District, is located at 238 Textile City West Street in Xi'an's Baqiao District . It has been dubbed the " 798 of Xi'an ." The district focuses on mainstream art while also embracing other art forms. It serves as a platform for artists to create, exhibit, exchange ideas, and sell their works, and a venue for the public to enjoy art and relax.

Reorganized in 2011 , the art district still resembles an abandoned factory. Inside, the most striking feature is the vintage locomotive and the graffiti on the walls. Many art enthusiasts have opened studios here. These large and small studios, hidden within the gloomy factories and apartment buildings, are where artists devote themselves to their creations. Visitors are welcome to visit with permission.
