The Luhuitou Scenic Area, located 3 kilometers south of Sanya City, is the southernmost peak on Hainan Island. Climbing to the summit offers panoramic views of Sanya City. The summit boasts a beautiful park and, based on a legendary legend, a giant statue measuring 12 meters tall, 9 meters long, and 4.9 meters wide. This is why Sanya is nicknamed "Deer City."
At the foot of Luhuitou Mountain, you'll find schools of colorful parrot fish, iridescent starfish, bizarre hermit crabs, unassuming sea cucumbers, sea worms, and rare small fish. In addition, there are sea shrubs, sea willows, coral trees, anemones, feather grass, soft corals, clams, jellyfish, sea thorns, sponges, and other underwater attractions, all a dazzling array of sights and attractions. Coconut trees shade the landscape, housing hotels, resorts, coconut farms, and pearl farms. This is one of my country's most ideal winter escapes.
Tropical maritime monsoon climate;
It is best to visit in winter and spring, a good place to escape the cold
love at first sight
Standing at the turnaround area midway up the mountain in Luhuitou Park, this stone carving, inscribed by former Defense Minister General Zhang Aiping, faces the deer sculpture and the highway from the front, while the back offers panoramic views of Sanya. In particular, it offers a close-up view of the magnificent Sanya River estuaries and the sea, as well as views of Luhuitou Square.
Eternal companionship
At the western foot of Luhuitou Mountain, there is a huge rock that is split in two. One half stands proudly on the top of the mountain, while the other half lies flat at the foot, extending into the sea. Locals call it the Companion Rock.
Mid-Autumn Festival at the End of the Earth
Every year on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a variety of celebrations and garden activities are held at Luhuitou Park and Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area, including traditional lantern riddles, folk lion dances, mooncake exhibitions, tea tastings, etc. The most distinctive event is the "Lushan Moon Viewing Conference" in Luhuitou. Standing on the top of Lushan Mountain, you can enjoy the night breeze, watch the first rays of the sea moon, and admire the full moon on Lushan Mountain. With the lights at the foot of the mountain, it feels like you are in a fairyland on earth.
