Maobitou Park is located on the southeastern tip of the Hengchun Peninsula, at the junction of the Taiwan Strait and the Bashi Channel. It is a typical example of coral reef coastal erosion, resembling a girl's pleated skirt from an aerial view, hence the nickname "skirt reef coast." Its shape, resembling a crouching cat, gave it the name " Maobitou . " Together with Eluanbi, it forms the southernmost point of Taiwan.
Maobitou Park is located at a low latitude and has a unique tropical landscape. The azure ocean is breathtaking. In the evening, the setting sun paints the entire ocean red, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. It has long been recognized as one of the eight scenic spots in Hengchun.
