Shangbahe National Forest Park, with its forest landscape as its core, Cangshan Mountain's dramatic peaks as its framework, clear streams and emerald pools as its veins, and rare animals dotting the landscape, creates a vivid tapestry of harmonious still and dynamic landscapes, seamlessly integrating natural and cultural landscapes. Shangbahe National Forest Park is divided into six distinctive scenic areas: Dashaba, Jiaoyanggou, Yanzhiba, Sanganghe, Pingheliang, and Xunyangba. It boasts over 90 scenic spots, including Ape Man Valley, Three Incense Sticks, Thousand-foot Pond, Tianti Stone, Millennium Cave, and Ten Thousand Acres of Meadow.
Shangbahe National Forest Park, nestled in the transitional zone between the Palearctic and Oriental worlds, boasts one of the richest faunas in China. It boasts 126 mammal species, 338 bird species, and 1,435 insect species. There are 424 species of animals under national protection, including rare species such as the giant panda, golden monkey, takin, golden eagle, and giant salamander, all of which have garnered global attention.
The most captivating sight is the mist over the Shangba River. After the rain, clouds of white flocs rise from the gullies and streams, blurring the lines between heaven and earth. It's as if you've stepped into a celestial palace, holding clouds in your hands and stepping on them. The world is a vast expanse of white. Only the unique mountains and ancient trees appear to float through the mist like a mirage, appearing and disappearing.
The park boasts a humid northern subtropical climate, rich in biodiversity and distinct geographical boundaries. Located in the Qinling River Valley, the park integrates mountains, water, rocks, forests, flowers, bamboo, caves, and local customs. It features geological landscapes, unique rock formations and cliffs, rare flora and fauna, and astronomical phenomena (fog, rain, snow, and sunrise). The cultures of Qin, Chu, and Shu converged here, resulting in a unique folk culture and local customs, making it a suitable destination for all seasons.

Night visits are not available as the park closes at 5:00 PM. There are no light shows or special tours offered at night.
