Introducing Houliu Ancient Town

Houliu Ancient Town is located along the Han River, 18 kilometers south of Shiquan County . It is located on the bank of the Han River. It has vast water landscape, rich natural resources and profound cultural heritage, just like an exquisite ink painting.

Surrounded by water on three sides, the ancient town can't be called a peninsula, but it retains a rich waterside charm. Looking down from the high slopes, one is captivated by the town's overflowing beauty. Here, old antique heritage sites have been transformed from destruction to preservation, harmoniously moving forward alongside newer architecture.

The town's riverfront area is home to a concentration of ancient buildings. In the easternmost corner, several mud-walled, blue-tiled dwellings, at least a century old, are so old. A large tree rises majestically from the center of the houses, towering over the rooftops and canopying the entire structure. It's known as the " roof-wrapped tree . " Next to the tree is a winding stone staircase path, winding upwards to form a small street.

Next to the street, there's a Fire God Temple that still survives. There's also the Wang family, whose family produced a renowned anti-Japanese general, Wang Fantang, who led a death squad into the Japanese invaders during the Battle of Taierzhuang, achieving a resounding victory and earning widespread renown. His heroic name remains inscribed in the Taierzhuang Battle Memorial Hall.
