Fengyan Ancient Terraced Fields are located in Xuanwo Town, Hanyin County. It is an irrigation-type water conservancy scenic area, a key cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province, a national water conservancy scenic area, a national forest park, and the most beautiful countryside in China.
This scenic area is the first open scenic area in northern my country that uses natural landscapes as the background, ancient terraces as exhibits, and folk customs as the backdrop to protect and display the production methods of traditional farming civilization.
The area where the Fengyan Ancient Terraces are located is rich in water resources and has humid air. As the climate changes with the four seasons, the clouds in the valley float unsteadily, and the mist evaporates, forming a vast sea of clouds that appears and disappears from time to time, making the valleys and terraces subtle, vivid, and graceful. Being in it is like being in a fairyland on earth.
Best time to visit: rape blossoms (March 27 to mid-April), paddy field irrigation and rice planting (late May to early June), and autumn harvest (August).
