Introducing Xiamen Museum

Xiamen Museum, located at the Xiamen Culture and Art Center at 95 Tiyu Road, Siming District, Xiamen , is dedicated to the collection, protection, research, and exhibition of precious cultural heritage from southeastern China, particularly from Fujian and Taiwan. Through its intuitive exhibits and various display methods, the museum promotes national cultural heritage policies, disseminates knowledge of cultural relics, archaeology, and history, and promotes and protects the outstanding cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.

Xiamen Museum currently has basic exhibitions open to the public, including " Xiamen History Exhibition " , " Grand View Garden of Ancient Stone Sculptures of Fujian and Taiwan " , and " Fujian and Taiwan Folk Customs Exhibition " . Among them, the predecessor of the latter , the " Fujian and Taiwan Folk Customs Exhibition " in the old museum , won the 1998 National Top Ten Cultural Relics Exhibition Award.

Other basic exhibitions open to the public year-round include the " Zheng Chenggong Historical Relics Exhibition " at the Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall, the " Glorious Years - Historical Exhibition of the Construction of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone " at the Xiamen Special Economic Zone Memorial Hall , the " Xiamen Prison Break Struggle Exhibition " at the Xiamen Prison Break Struggle Site, the " Chen Huacheng Deeds Exhibition " at the Chen Gong Temple , and the " Opium War and Xiamen " historical exhibition at the Chen Shengyuan Former Residence .

Xiamen Museum currently has a collection of nearly 20,000 cultural relics, 3,983 of which have been identified as Grade III or above . Among them, ancient ceramics, calligraphy and paintings, jade, stone carvings, folk relics and international friendship gifts are the main and most distinctive.
