The Doupeng Mountain Scenic Area is located in Tiesuoyan Village, Yanxia Township, Guizhou Province. It is located in the middle section of the Miaoling Mountains. The main peak of Doupeng Mountain is 1,961 meters above sea level. It is the closest virgin forest area to the city in China. The mountain has peaks, canyons, caves, streams and waterfalls, and the virgin forest coverage rate is nearly 90%.
On a high plateau at 1,800 meters above sea level, nearly 100 hectares of pristine ancient forest are found. The roots of the trees grow entirely within the cracks of the rocks, creating a bizarre spectacle of trees embracing rocks, rocks embracing trees, and trees forming bridges.
