Huachong Park is located in Dongwulijing, Yaohai District, Hefei City, Anhui Province. It is adjacent to Changjiang East Road to the north, 3 kilometers from the city center, 2 kilometers from Hefei New Railway Station, and 14 kilometers east of Hefei-Ningbo Expressway. It is located between the first and second ring roads of Hefei City and is one of the eight parks in the Hefei City Master Plan approved by the State Council.
Huachong Park, under the jurisdiction of the Yaohai District Park Management Office in Hefei City, primarily cultivates and manages seedlings and flowers, while also offering services. The park covers 138.5 mu (over 20 mu of which is water surface), boasting 26,000 trees and 21,800 square meters of lawn. Over 150 species of trees and flowers are planted within the park, including cedar, cypress, red-leaf plum, French holly, poplar, locust, and magnolia. The eastern portion houses the Huachong Restaurant and guesthouse. The western portion houses a 1.6-hectare nursery, surrounded by a brick wall with stained glass windows. It houses a children's playground, featuring an electric Pegasus and an airplane, and an ice rink that doubles as a dance hall. The southern portion is shaded by seedlings, forming a nursery belt. At the northern end of the belt is an ancient locust tree, nearly two feet thick. A path traverses the center, making it a well-developed municipal-level green space in Yaohai District.
