Our cruise ship ports in Bar Harbor, we have basically 5-6 hrs and there are no excursions offered by the cruise. What is the best way to see the area including the park?

2. Drive the Park Loop Road The best way to see the park quickly is by driving the Park Loop Road, a 27-mile scenic route that takes you through the park’s most iconic spots. You can drive it at a leisurely pace, making stops at several key viewpoints. Here are the must-see stops along the way:

Cadillac Mountain: This is the highest peak on the East Coast, offering sweeping views of the island and the surrounding ocean. It’s an easy drive to the summit, and you’ll want to spend some time here to take in the views. If you’re pressed for time, it’s still worth the quick stop.
