Help re walk in clinic today?south

My daughter is on Kauai and she is 21. She believes she has a UTI. She is staying with family friends on the South Shore. I’m not exactly sure where lol does anyone have a walk-in clinic that they could recommend in the hopes that maybe there happen to be open on New Year’s Eve as well Thanks in advance

If your daughter is on Kauai's South Shore and believes she has a UTI, there are a few walk-in clinics she can consider for treatment, especially around the holidays like New Year's Eve. Since walk-in clinics may have varying hours and availability, it's best to call ahead or check their websites for specific holiday hours. Here are some potential options:

  • Wilcox Health Walk-In Clinic (Lihue) – Located in Lihue, this clinic is part of the Wilcox Medical Center network. It offers walk-in services for non-emergency medical needs, including urinary tract infections. They may be open on holidays, but it's advisable to check ahead due to the New Year’s Eve holiday.
  • Kauai Urgent Care (Kapaa) – Located on the East side of the island, Kauai Urgent Care provides walk-in services for a variety of health issues, including UTIs. They may be open on New Year's Eve, but it's best to confirm their hours before visiting.
  • Poipu Health Center (Poipu) – This clinic is located near the South Shore and provides walk-in medical care. They offer treatment for a range of conditions, and while their holiday hours may vary, they are worth checking out for an urgent care option on the South Shore.

Additionally, if she is unable to find a walk-in clinic open, she may want to contact a local pharmacy for over-the-counter UTI remedies or reach out to a telehealth provider who can offer a consultation and possible prescription. Some local pharmacies might also be able to help her with UTI-related symptoms.

It's important to get her symptoms checked soon, as untreated UTIs can lead to more serious complications. Most of the clinics listed should be able to prescribe antibiotics or offer guidance for further treatment.
