Visit the confluence of the Yellow and Luo Rivers, enjoy boat rides along the rivers, explore the historical sites, and learn about the ancient culture. The area is known for its peaceful environment and scenic views, making it a great place for nature walks and photography.

The Heluo Confluence Scenic Area is located at the confluence of the Yellow River and Luo River in Shenbei Village, Heluo Town, Gongyi City. Since ancient times, Heluo culture has been considered the source of Chinese culture. Legend has it that this is where the Yellow River's map, the Luo River's book, and Fuxi's drawing of the Eight Trigrams were discovered. Historical records also indicate that Huangdi, Emperor Yao, Yu Shun, Xia Yu, Shang Tang, King Cheng of Zhou, and Duke Zhou all sank a wall here to offer sacrifices to heaven upon ascending the throne. As a result, the Heluo region holds a crucial historical significance, attracting literati, prominent figures, and celebrities from China and abroad throughout history to reminisce and compose poetry. This has left behind a wealth of fu and poetry, contributing to the rich Heluo culture.
The scenery here is also incredibly beautiful. According to the Gongxian Chronicles, dating back to the 10th year of the Qianlong Emperor's reign, the county boasts eight scenic spots, four of which are found in this area: "Ten Valleys with Different Flows," "Spring Outing at Luokou," "Autumn Wind at Mangling," and "Evening Bells at the Grottoes." Climbing to the top of Shendu Mountain, one can admire the spectacular confluence of the Yellow River and the Luo River. To the west, one gazes at the turbid Yellow River, its waves surging as if it were flowing from the sky to the east. To the south, the Yi and Luo rivers meet, their clear and turbid waters distinctly separated.
