Hey Monkey! Sounds like you're planning a great trip to Las Vegas. Both end of May and mid to end June are solid choices, but there are a few differences to consider regarding the heat and events happening around those times.

Heat Difference: - In general, Las Vegas starts to heat up in late May, with temperatures ranging between 80°F and 100°F (27°C to 38°C). By mid-June, the heat can be intense, with average temperatures ranging from 90°F to 110°F (32°C to 43°C). The key difference is that late May tends to be more bearable for outdoor activities, while June can feel much hotter, especially during the day. However, if you're planning to spend most of your time indoors, the heat won't be much of an issue, as most casinos, hotels, and restaurants are well air-conditioned.

Events and Crowds: - Late May (around Memorial Day weekend) is usually a busy time in Las Vegas, as it's the unofficial start of summer. This is when you'll see larger crowds, especially in the resorts and at pool parties. However, it can also mean some great deals and fun events, such as concerts, pool parties, and special promotions. - Mid to late June tends to be slightly quieter compared to Memorial Day weekend, but it can still be busy, especially as summer vacations get underway. You'll also see more corporate gatherings and conventions in June, as this is when many industries hold their meetings and conferences. So, there’s a chance you could see a more corporate crowd again, like what you experienced at MGM Grand. If that’s something you’d like to avoid, consider staying at a different property or checking the event calendar for dates when big conferences are scheduled.

  • Events in Late May: - Memorial Day Weekend (May 29-31, 2025) is always a big event in Las Vegas, with pool parties, concerts, and celebrity appearances. Expect larger crowds and higher hotel prices during this time.
  • Events in Mid to Late June: - June is also busy with conventions, but it’s a bit more spread out. You might encounter corporate groups in places like the MGM Grand and other major resorts that host large conventions. You might also see performances, concerts, and more summer-themed events.

To avoid feeling like an "intruder" at corporate events, you might consider staying at a hotel with a more laid-back atmosphere or check the convention schedules before booking your hotel. Some properties like The Venetian, Cosmopolitan, or Bellagio can have a more vacation-focused vibe, while places like MGM Grand and Caesars Palace may have larger corporate gatherings during these months.

Either way, both late May and mid to late June offer plenty of fun and excitement, so it ultimately depends on your preference for heat and crowd size. Enjoy your trip planning, and feel free to reach out if you need more specific recommendations!
