Tours that will pick up from Kapolei

Hello,

First time traveller to Hawaii. Got out of Honolulu to experience some more quiet and the Ko Olina beaches and lagoons. No car though and wondering whether any tour companies would pick us up from Kapolei. Having a hard time finding anyone. Particularly interested in the Lost TV show tours and short hikes. Thank you in advance!

It's great that you're looking to explore Oahu beyond Honolulu and the Ko Olina area. Many tour companies on the island do offer pick-up services from various locations, including Ko Olina and Kapolei, though some may have specific areas they service or require prior arrangements. Below are some options for tours you may be interested in, particularly for Lost TV show tours and short hikes:

1. Lost TV Show Tours

There are a few companies offering tours focused on locations from the popular TV series *Lost*. Some of the best options for these tours include:

  • Oahu Lost Tour: This is a popular tour that visits various filming locations from *Lost*. While the pick-up areas typically focus on Honolulu, they may offer pick-up services from Ko Olina or Kapolei with advance arrangements. It’s best to reach out to them directly to confirm availability.
  • Discovery Tours Hawaii: Discovery Tours offers a variety of island tours, and they have been known to accommodate pick-ups in more remote areas like Ko Olina. Contact them in advance to inquire about Lost tour availability and pick-up options from Kapolei.

2. Hiking and Outdoor Tours

For short hikes and nature-based tours, there are several companies that might offer pick-up from the Ko Olina or Kapolei areas. Some of these include:

  • Hawaii Hiking: They offer guided hikes to some of Oahu's most beautiful and less crowded spots. They do offer pick-up in more remote areas, including Ko Olina and Kapolei. Popular hikes include the Diamond Head Crater, Manoa Falls, and Ka'ena Point.
  • Oahu Nature Tours: This company specializes in tours that combine hiking with cultural and natural exploration. They offer various hiking tours to places like the Hawaiian Valley or Manoa Falls, and they often accommodate pick-ups from hotels in Ko Olina and Kapolei. Be sure to ask when booking.
  • Shaka Guide: If you prefer self-guided tours with the flexibility of picking your own route, Shaka Guide offers audio tours with hiking options, and you can customize your itinerary to explore Oahu's quieter hiking trails. You won't get a pick-up, but it allows you to follow along at your own pace.

3. Private or Custom Tours

If you prefer a more tailored experience, many tour operators on Oahu offer private or custom tours. You can arrange a pick-up from Ko Olina or Kapolei for a personalized hiking experience or Lost tour. These tours are usually more expensive but offer the flexibility of going to the locations you want at your own pace.

  • Hawaii VIP Tours: This company offers custom tours, and they may be able to arrange pick-up from Kapolei or Ko Olina for a private Lost tour or short hike. Contact them in advance to confirm your pick-up location and preferred tour options.

4. Public Transportation and Rental Options

If you're unable to find a tour company that offers pick-up directly from Ko Olina or Kapolei, consider using public transportation or ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft to get to Honolulu for tours that start there. From Honolulu, you can access many of the popular Lost tours and hiking spots.

Conclusion:

While many tours may primarily pick up from Honolulu, several companies do offer the flexibility to pick up guests from the Ko Olina and Kapolei areas with advance notice. For Lost tours and hiking, I recommend contacting the tour companies directly to confirm availability for pick-up in these areas. Also, consider private tours if you're looking for more flexibility or if you want to ensure the pick-up is tailored to your needs. Enjoy your trip to Oahu!
