Fun idea for large group

Looking for ideas for a group of 20-30 teens & moms to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We haven’t been to Atlanta before. Any suggestions on an activity or a restaurant that might work for this?

Celebrating Valentine's Day with a group of teens and moms in Atlanta sounds like a fun and unique experience! Here are some suggestions for both activities and dining that can accommodate a group of 20-30 people:

Activities:

  • Skyline Park at Ponce City Market: This rooftop amusement park offers games, mini-golf, and incredible views of the city. It’s a great spot for a fun, laid-back group activity where everyone can participate in games and enjoy the scenery.
  • Atlanta Botanical Garden: If you want something a little more serene, consider visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden. While it may be cold in February, the Garden has indoor exhibits like the Orchid Center, and the outdoor space is perfect for taking group photos surrounded by beautiful nature.
  • TopGolf Atlanta: If your group enjoys interactive, casual fun, TopGolf is a great option. It’s an excellent activity for groups of all sizes, with plenty of space and private bays to accommodate your group. Plus, there’s food and drinks available, so you can make it a full experience.
  • Scavenger Hunt through the City: A Valentine’s Day-themed scavenger hunt in downtown Atlanta could be a fun and engaging way to explore the city. Many companies organize custom scavenger hunts that can take you to historic sites, local landmarks, and hidden gems, all while completing fun challenges along the way.

Restaurants:

  • Mary Mac’s Tea Room: This Southern classic is a beloved spot for large groups and offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The menu features classic Southern comfort food, which is sure to please both teens and adults alike. It’s also spacious and can accommodate large groups with prior notice.
  • The Cheesecake Factory (Lenox Square Mall): Located in the upscale Lenox Square Mall, this is a great option for large groups because of its expansive menu and large seating capacity. With a variety of options, you’ll find something for everyone in your group. Plus, who doesn’t love cheesecake?
  • Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta: Located in the heart of downtown, this restaurant offers American fare in a fun, rock 'n' roll-themed atmosphere. It’s perfect for a group looking to enjoy a lively, upbeat vibe. There’s also space for larger groups with easy access to nearby attractions.
  • The Varsity: If you're looking for a true Atlanta experience, The Varsity is an iconic fast-food spot known for its hot dogs, burgers, and "What’ll ya have?" service style. It’s a casual and fun spot that’s easy to handle for a large group, though you may want to plan ahead as it can get busy during peak times.

Additional Tips:

  • If you plan on having a Valentine’s Day dinner, consider making reservations well in advance. Atlanta's popular spots can get crowded, especially on special days like Valentine’s Day.
  • Since your group is large, it’s a good idea to contact venues beforehand to confirm they can accommodate your party and ask about any group discounts or special offers.

With so many exciting options in Atlanta, you're sure to have a memorable celebration! Whether you opt for an adventure-packed day at SkyLine Park or a relaxed dinner at Mary Mac’s Tea Room, there's something for everyone in your group to enjoy.
