Hotels convenient to BU, Northeastern, and BC?

I am taking my daughter to visit Boston University, Northeastern, and Boston College this April. What are some hotel recommendations on the train line convenient to these schools with access to restaurants? We can also Uber around. We will be there for three days. Breakfast option would be great and we are not on a tight budget. Thank you

For your visit to Boston University, Northeastern, and Boston College, it's important to choose a hotel that's well-connected to public transportation, has access to nearby restaurants, and offers a comfortable stay. Since you're not on a tight budget, here are some great hotel options located conveniently on train lines that will give you easy access to the universities, as well as great breakfast options:

  • The Westin Copley Place Located in the Back Bay area, The Westin is close to Northeastern University and easily accessible to BU via the Green Line T (train). It’s also within walking distance of many great restaurants, shops, and the Prudential Center. The hotel offers a great breakfast and comfortable rooms with modern amenities. It’s a central location with a convenient connection to the T (subway).
  • Hotel Commonwealth Hotel Commonwealth is located near Fenway Park and just a short walk from Boston University. It’s an upscale option with great access to both BU and Northeastern University, and the Green Line subway station is nearby. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast option, and you’ll be close to some of Boston’s best restaurants. The area is lively and easy to navigate with public transportation.
  • The Eliot Hotel This boutique hotel in the Fenway/Kenmore area is close to both BU and Northeastern. It’s also near the Green Line, making it easy to travel to other parts of Boston. The Eliot Hotel is known for its luxury accommodations and personalized service. The hotel features a great breakfast option, and the surrounding neighborhood has plenty of cafes and restaurants.
  • Hampton Inn Boston/Cambridge Located near the Alewife T Station (Red Line), this hotel is a short train ride from Boston College and Northeastern University. It offers free breakfast, comfortable rooms, and is situated in a quieter area with good access to restaurants. It’s a great mid-range option that offers easy access to the T for traveling around Boston.
  • Mandarin Oriental, Boston For a more luxurious stay, the Mandarin Oriental in the Back Bay is ideal. It’s close to Northeastern University, and while it’s a bit farther from Boston College, it’s an excellent hotel for both relaxation and access to restaurants. The hotel features a renowned restaurant, a great breakfast buffet, and luxury amenities, plus you’re right near the Prudential Center and other attractions.
  • Boston Marriott Long Wharf This hotel is slightly farther from BU and Northeastern but is still easily accessible by public transportation. It’s located right on the waterfront, providing beautiful views of Boston Harbor and excellent access to the subway. You’re also close to restaurants and shopping, and the hotel offers a great breakfast buffet. It’s a solid choice for those who want a central location with easy access to transit.

All of these hotels are located near train stations, so you’ll be able to easily access the universities using the subway. Additionally, Boston has a great selection of restaurants in each of these areas, ensuring you’ll have a variety of dining options. If you’re planning to Uber, these hotels are conveniently located for quick trips to each university, and they’re all in vibrant neighborhoods with plenty to do.

Some additional tips for your visit:

  • Consider staying near the Green Line (for BU and Northeastern) or the Red Line (for Boston College) for the easiest access to the universities via public transit.
  • If you're visiting during a busy time, be sure to book your reservations in advance, especially for breakfast, as Boston can get crowded.
  • Boston's public transportation is fairly reliable, but you might want to use a combination of walking and Uber for convenience, especially for Boston College, which is a bit farther out from the city center.

Have a wonderful trip and enjoy your stay in Boston!
