Matching CET to MGM

Cant remember if ive asked this before. Just looked at my latest offers from MGM and MY GOD ! ! they have dropped a lot !!

So last year i matched my diamond plus to mgm gold. Can i match it again this year ??? Never paid a resort fee in over 10 years and now they wanna charge me fees on my comps ! ! Can probably get them wiped with my play but would rather have them off by matching.

What are other peoples MGM offers like this year ??

It sounds like you’re going through some changes with your MGM offers! Unfortunately, matching your tier again to maintain benefits like waived resort fees might not be as simple as it was the first time. Typically, tier matching is a one-time process, but some properties will allow a re-match if you’ve had significant play or if you're offered a new match through promotions. It’s best to check directly with MGM’s loyalty program to see if they have any current offers for re-matching tiers.

Regarding the resort fees, it’s becoming increasingly common for properties, including MGM, to charge these fees even on comped stays. They usually aren’t waived unless you meet certain thresholds for play or status with the loyalty program. It’s definitely worth trying to get them removed through your play, but since you mentioned that you haven’t paid resort fees in years, contacting MGM directly to explain your situation and see if there’s any flexibility might also be worth a shot.

  • Contact MGM’s loyalty customer service for clarification about matching your tier again. They may have offers for re-matching or special promotions.
  • Check if they are offering a current promotion for waived resort fees if you reach a certain threshold of play or status.
  • Try speaking to a host at your preferred MGM property to see if they can assist with the resort fee issue based on your previous loyalty and play history.

As for other people’s offers this year, it seems many are seeing a drop in their MGM offers, similar to your experience. Many players have reported a shift in offer structure, with fewer high-end comps and more emphasis on offers tied to spend or specific play requirements. It’s a good idea to check offers regularly and compare them to previous years to see if there are new promotions or offers you can take advantage of.

Good luck, and hopefully, you’ll be able to find a way to get those resort fees waived or matched again!
