First time trip to Hawaii

Question

Going to spend 6 nights, 7/3 to 7/9 for anniversary. Right now, planning on 3 in Maui first, then 3 in Oahu. Want to do a Luau, see pearl harbor and arizona memorial (and all related WWII stuff), scuba dive one day, zip line, rent a car and explore the islands. Any advice or input with ideas would be greatly appreciated. One person said Laua on Maui were better than all other islands.
