Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim - Recommendation?

I'm looking at this hotel as they can accommodate 2 queen beds and a double sofa bed in one room, which appears quite rare.

It seems there are a number of Holiday Inns i Anaheim os how does this one compare? Is it within walking distance and is it a nice property? We're not looking for 5 star luxury, but neither do we want a 2/3 star motel standard either

Many thanks

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim is generally considered a solid mid-range option, especially for families or groups who need larger rooms with multiple beds. The property offers clean, comfortable rooms and standard amenities you would expect from the Holiday Inn Express brand, including free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking. The ability to accommodate 2 queen beds plus a sofa bed in one room is indeed rare in the Anaheim area, which makes this hotel particularly appealing for families or larger parties.

Location-wise:

  • The hotel is a short drive from Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center. It is not typically within comfortable walking distance for the average visitor, especially with children or luggage, as most guests prefer to drive or take the hotel shuttle.
  • Nearby restaurants and convenience stores are accessible by car, but the area is more car-oriented than pedestrian-friendly.

Property and amenities:

  • Rooms are modern and well-maintained, although not luxurious; they fall squarely in the 3-star range, offering comfort without premium finishes.
  • The hotel has a pool, fitness center, and complimentary breakfast, which is convenient for families planning early park mornings.
  • Service is generally reliable, with friendly staff and a professional atmosphere.

Comparison with other Holiday Inns in Anaheim:

  • Some Holiday Inn properties closer to Disneyland may offer slightly better walking access, but they tend to be smaller or lack the room configuration you need.
  • This property’s strength is space and value, making it ideal for larger families who prioritize comfort over ultra-close proximity.

Overall, if your priority is a larger room that accommodates multiple beds comfortably, along with standard mid-range amenities, this hotel is a very reasonable choice. If walking to Disneyland or other attractions is critical, you may want to consider a different property or plan to use a car or shuttle service.
