5 star hotel without parking charges

Hi I'm coming to Portland in early June. I'm flying in to Portland and renting a car to see Portland and other costal towns. I'm looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel outside of Old Port and other areas where I have to pay for parking.

Can you please reccomend an area or hotel that I can find that. Thank you

For your stay in Portland in early June, you're in luck—there are a few 4- and 5-star hotels outside the Old Port area that offer complimentary parking, which can be a great way to save on parking fees while still enjoying a comfortable stay. Here are a few recommendations for hotels that offer the luxury you're looking for without the extra parking charges:

  • The Press Hotel - Located just outside of the Old Port, The Press Hotel offers a boutique experience with a stylish, modern design and excellent service. It’s in the Arts District, which is close to cultural attractions like the Portland Museum of Art, but still offers free parking for guests. The location is ideal for a quieter stay while still being within a short drive or walk from Portland’s vibrant areas.
  • AC Hotel Portland Downtown/Waterfront - Situated along the waterfront but outside the busy Old Port area, the AC Hotel is a great option for those seeking a sleek, modern hotel with free parking. It’s also within walking distance to the Portland Waterfront, so you can still enjoy the beauty of the harbor and coastal towns nearby without paying for parking.
  • Hyatt Place Portland-Old Port - While the hotel is located close to Old Port, it is just on the outskirts, offering a more affordable option with free parking. It's modern, comfortable, and gives you easy access to the surrounding area without the steep parking fees typical of more central hotels.

If you’re willing to stay a little further out from the main downtown area, you might also want to explore hotels in nearby neighborhoods like the West End or even South Portland. These areas tend to have more affordable options and still offer easy access to Portland’s attractions and coastal towns without the added parking costs.

  • Inn at St. John - A charming, historic inn located in the West End. It’s outside of the busier areas, and they offer free parking. The hotel has a cozy, intimate atmosphere, and it's still only a short drive from the city’s main attractions.
  • Clarion Hotel Portland - Situated in South Portland, this hotel offers easy access to the city while providing free parking. It's a good option if you're planning on exploring other coastal towns around Portland as well.

Overall, staying a bit outside the Old Port area can provide you with a quieter and often more affordable experience, especially if you're planning to use your rental car to explore Portland and other coastal towns. Be sure to confirm the parking details when booking, as policies can change. Enjoy your trip to Portland!
