Beach cottages St Augustine

Hello. I'm looking for recommendations for Cottages-- one to two story Florida beach places in St Augustine on the Ocean side. It's been about 10 years since I looked but I remember there were some over there. Anybody have any suggestions?

St. Augustine has a charming selection of beach cottages along the Atlantic side that cater to families, couples, and groups looking for a classic Florida coastal experience. Many of these are one- or two-story homes with direct or short beach access, making them ideal for a relaxed seaside stay.

Popular areas to look for beach cottages include Vilano Beach, St. Augustine Beach, and Crescent Beach. Each area has its own character: Vilano Beach is quieter and less crowded, St. Augustine Beach has more amenities and restaurants nearby, and Crescent Beach offers a more secluded, natural setting.

Some options to consider:

  • Vilano Beach Cottages: Small, one- or two-story cottages just steps from the sand. Many feature porches or decks with ocean views, full kitchens, and easy beach access.
  • St. Augustine Beach Rentals: Larger cottage-style homes suitable for families. These often come with multiple bedrooms, private decks, and are within walking distance to local shops and eateries.
  • Crescent Beach Cottages: Secluded, historic-style cottages tucked away among dunes and native vegetation. Ideal for travelers seeking privacy and a quieter beach experience.

Additional tips when searching:

  • Use vacation rental platforms like VRBO or Airbnb and filter for "beachfront" or "ocean view" and "1-2 stories" to match your preference.
  • Book early, especially for summer or holiday stays, as these cottages are highly sought after.
  • Consider checking local property management companies such as Amelia and St. Augustine Beach Vacation Rentals, which specialize in oceanfront cottages and can provide recommendations based on size and amenities.

By focusing on these areas and rental types, you can find a charming Florida-style beach cottage in St. Augustine that suits your needs and offers easy access to the ocean and local attractions.
