Traveled to Las Vegas on Alaska Monday 4/7 with my sister. flight was fast and uneventful just like we like it! Cab to Park MGM. Checked in at the desk vs online so I could ask for a room on an upper level with a view, which I received. Threw our luggage in the room and wandered over to Beer Haus at the Park for a beer and a brat. Service was quick and lots of beer choices! From there, walked down the strip. Gambled at Paris for a bit, no wins but did get my "free" drink. Walked across to Aria, gambled for a bit, got another "free" drink and left $1K up from the Willy Wonka machine! Had dinner at Jason Aldean's Kitchen and Bar. Shared a salad and the mac and cheese with bacon and chicken. It was really good and the salad was super fresh! There was a live band playing which was fun. Walked back to the hotel at about 11.
Day 2 - pool day. I love the pools at the Park. Fast friendly drink service. Got take out from Grand Wok at MGM and ate by the pool. Veggie Lo Mein, Beef Chow Fun and spring rolls all yummy. Late afternoon cleaned up and went to Eiffel Tower at the Paris for my birthday dinner. Food was excellent - I had Beef Wellington and my sister had a rib eye steak. The steak was not cooked to order the first time but was quickly replaced and melt in your mouth good. Service was good for the most part and they brought me a special birthday dessert. The view of the Bellagio Fountains was gorgeous! Ended our evening at Blake Shelton's Ole Red. What a fun bar! Four levels, live music - loved it.
Day 3 - second pool day. Lunch from The Chef food truck in the Park. Tofu Cubana sandwich and Loaded Nachos. Very good. Late afternoon got ready and went to the Sphere to see Postcards from Earth. It was very cool! I would love to see a concert there. Ubered to NYNY and had dinner at Nine Fine Irishmen. We shared apps for dinner - minted peas, sausage rolls, curry chips and a bowl of colcannon. Food and service were good. Back to Park MGM to gamble a little - no big wins but enough small ones to play for a couple hours.
Last day - asked for and got a late check out (1pm) so went to the pool again for a couple hours in the morning. Cleaned up, packed up, headed to airport. Our flight was delayed an hour so we got a drink and did some people watching.
It was a great trip, already looking forward to the next one. Thanks for reading!
