Clover Grill

i haven't been for decades, but I thought it would be fun to revisit.

Partner and I usually end the evening with coffee and beignets, but I thought for a couple of nights to do something else. Cafe Envie is on the list for one night.

I remember Clover Grill used to have good pie. Has anyone been there lately, do they still offer that, and what kind?

Thanks!

The Clover Grill has definitely been a staple in the French Quarter for many years, known for its retro diner vibe and comfort food. It's great to hear you're revisiting, as it remains a fun spot to grab a bite, especially late at night after a night out. As for the pies, yes, they do still offer them! The Clover Grill is particularly known for its delicious homemade pies, which are a perfect way to end a meal.

  • Pie Options: The classic pies at Clover Grill include favorites like chocolate cream pie and coconut cream pie, both of which are rich and well-loved by regulars. There's also often a key lime pie on the menu, which is a refreshing option after a savory meal.
  • Other Desserts: If you're looking for a dessert change-up from your usual beignets, Clover Grill also has a selection of other diner-style sweets that could hit the spot.

If you’re planning a visit, the pies are definitely worth it if you want something sweet to round out your evening. While Cafe Envie is an excellent choice for coffee and beignets, Clover Grill offers a more hearty late-night meal with a nostalgic, local flair. Enjoy your time in the city!
