Lightning lane multi pass question

Hi! Subject to availability- will I be able to select any available times? Or will I only be able to get next available time?

Example- it’s noon and a ride is available at 1:00…. Will I be able to select a later time in the day (if available), such as at 6pm?

When using the Lightning Lane (or Genie+ / Lightning Lane selections) at Walt Disney World, the ability to choose a return time depends on availability and how the system is set up for each attraction.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Subject to availability: You are not limited to the next available slot. You can usually select any available time later in the day for that attraction, as long as it fits within the park’s operating hours.
  • Booking process: When you make a Lightning Lane selection, the app shows a list of available return times. You can scroll through the options and select a later time if it’s still available. For example, if it’s noon and 1:00 PM is available, you might also see options at 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM, or even 6:00 PM, depending on the crowd level and availability.
  • Limitations: Some very popular rides may have fewer time slots remaining later in the day. Once a slot is filled or the attraction reaches capacity, you will no longer see that time as an option.
  • Strategy: If you want a specific later time, check the app early and be ready to book as soon as your booking window opens. Availability can change quickly throughout the day.

Additional tips:

  • You can only hold one Lightning Lane selection at a time (unless using the paid Individual Lightning Lane for certain rides), so plan your selections carefully.
  • The app will allow you to modify or cancel selections depending on the attraction’s rules and availability.
  • For high-demand attractions, booking early in the day gives you the best chance to get your preferred later time slot.

In summary, yes, you can usually select a later time in the day if it’s still available. The system is flexible, but availability depends on how busy the park is and how many other guests have already booked that attraction.
