Skydeck wait time

We have a Skydeck appointment tomorrow 9 am does any know how much wait time will be there approx? I see someone saying it could be 4 hrs….is it even that early morning

The wait time for the Skydeck at the Willis Tower can vary based on the day, time, and overall crowd levels, but early morning visits typically have shorter wait times. Since your appointment is at 9 am, you’re likely to experience a relatively shorter wait compared to the afternoon or evening, when crowds tend to build up. That said, 4-hour waits are generally not typical in the morning, especially for an early entry time like yours.

However, the Skydeck can still get busy, particularly on weekends or during peak tourist seasons, so here are a few things you can expect:

  • Shorter waits in the morning: Since you have a 9 am appointment, expect a wait of approximately 15 to 30 minutes. The lines tend to be more manageable in the first couple of hours after opening, especially on weekdays.
  • Security checks: Be prepared for a quick security screening before entering the Skydeck. This can add a few extra minutes to your wait time, but it's usually not long early in the morning.
  • Pre-booked tickets: Having a timed entry ticket, like the one you have, generally allows you to bypass the longer general admission lines, which can get quite busy as the day goes on.
  • Peak times: Later in the day (especially after noon), the wait times can extend to 1-2 hours, especially if there are special events or a large influx of tourists. However, this will likely not affect your 9 am slot.

In summary, while it's always best to expect some wait, it is unlikely that you'll encounter a 4-hour wait at 9 am. A more typical wait would be much shorter, especially with your timed entry. Enjoy your visit to the Skydeck and the amazing views of Chicago!
