Don't like seafood!

Staying 3 nights in August in a rental. Would love to get takeout first night then eat out other 2 nights. But we don't like seafood! Any recommendations of where to go? The rental is a couple of blocks from the beach near Mandalay Park

Clearwater Beach has plenty of dining options beyond seafood, so even if you’re not fans of seafood, you can enjoy a variety of cuisines. Being a couple of blocks from Mandalay Park gives you convenient access to both casual takeout and sit-down restaurants within walking distance or a short drive.

Takeout Options for Your First Night:

  • Frenchy's Outpost Bar & Grill: Although known for seafood, they have burgers, sandwiches, chicken dishes, and wraps that are great for takeout.
  • Pier 60 Pizza Company: Family-friendly and quick, offers pizza, calzones, and salads. Perfect for a casual first night in.
  • Rumba Island Bar & Grill: Offers a variety of non-seafood options like sandwiches, burgers, and grilled meats, plus island-style sides. Takeout is available.
  • Mad Beach Craft Brewing: Burgers, chicken, and sandwiches, plus local craft beers for adults. Takeout is offered and easy to grab on the way back to your rental.

Dining Out for the Other Nights:

  • Clear Sky Café: Breakfast, brunch, and dinner options with plenty of non-seafood items. Burgers, steak, pasta, and salads make it ideal for a family-friendly sit-down meal.
  • Salt Cracker Fish Camp: Despite the name, they also offer non-seafood options like chicken and burgers. Casual atmosphere and near the beach.
  • Cesare's Italian Restaurant: Great for pasta, pizza, and traditional Italian fare. Plenty of meat and vegetarian options, perfect for a dinner out.
  • Columbia Restaurant - Sand Key: Offers classic Spanish and Cuban dishes with chicken, pork, and beef options. Seafood is prominent, but non-seafood dishes are well-prepared and flavorful.
  • GrillSmith Clearwater Beach: Upscale casual dining with steaks, chicken, salads, and sandwiches. Great for an evening dinner with teens or adults.

Tips:

  • Consider ordering takeout on your first night to settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening at your rental.
  • For the other two nights, make reservations where possible, especially in August when summer tourism can make popular restaurants busy.
  • Many restaurants near Mandalay Park offer patios or outdoor seating with a view of the beach, which adds to the experience even if you’re avoiding seafood.

Overall, Clearwater Beach offers plenty of non-seafood dining options for both takeout and sit-down meals. With burgers, Italian, Cuban, and casual American fare, your three nights can be varied and enjoyable without touching seafood.
