Restaurant booking dates slide past

Hi All, I have Disneyland Hotel reservations for 3 nights from 11 Sept and I was hoping to get a reservation at Trader Joe's Tiki Room on Saturday 13 Sept but nothing available. I think I have let the 60 day mark slide past? What are the chances of getting one now? Is there another way? Thanks.

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland Hotel is extremely popular, and reservations typically open 60 days in advance for Disneyland Resort hotel guests. If you’ve missed that window, it can be challenging to secure a table, especially on a Saturday, which is one of the busiest days.

However, there are still ways to potentially get a reservation or experience the venue without one:

  • Check Online Frequently: Guests often cancel, and tables can open up even a day or two before your desired date. Keep refreshing the Disneyland app or website for any openings.
  • Walk-Up Availability: Trader Sam’s does offer some limited walk-up seating. Arrive early or during off-peak hours, but be aware that waits can be long.
  • Split Your Party: Sometimes smaller tables open up for fewer guests. If your group can be flexible, booking multiple smaller tables might be possible.
  • Consider Alternative Times: If dinner is fully booked, try lunch reservations or late evening times if available.
  • Phone Call to the Hotel: Call Disneyland Hotel’s dining line directly. Occasionally, hotel staff can assist with last-minute availability or cancellations that aren’t visible online.

Other tips to improve your chances:

  • Set notifications in the Disneyland app for dining availability updates.
  • Check early in the morning and late at night; new openings sometimes appear overnight.
  • Have a backup plan for dining elsewhere at the hotel or in Downtown Disney in case you cannot get a table.

In summary, while the likelihood of snagging a Saturday reservation after the 60-day window is lower, persistence and flexibility can pay off. Monitoring cancellations, being ready for walk-up seating, and calling the hotel directly are your best strategies for still enjoying Trader Sam’s during your stay.
