Vegetarian coming to Orlando

I can’t eat cheese either!! Does Whole food sell quorn ham slices etc so I can make sandwiches ? Or what alternative stores should I visit. I haven’t had much (any) luck in Walmart and target in other areas.

Also does anywhere else in Orlando sell goats milk?

Yes - I know it’s difficult !! 😀

Orlando offers several great options for vegetarian and dairy-free alternatives, so you should be able to find what you need for sandwiches and other meals during your stay.

Regarding Quorn products like ham slices, Whole Foods Market is likely your best bet in Orlando. They typically carry a wide selection of vegetarian and plant-based products, including Quorn, Tofurky, and other meat alternatives. While Quorn’s ham slices are more commonly found in health food stores, Whole Foods usually has a good stock of similar alternatives in their deli and refrigerated sections.

If you're unable to find Quorn at Whole Foods, here are a few other stores you might want to try:

  • Earth Fare – Another excellent health food store with a variety of plant-based and dairy-free options. They should have a selection of vegetarian deli meats and alternatives to cheese.
  • The Fresh Market – A smaller chain with high-quality grocery items, including vegetarian and vegan meat alternatives. They also have a nice variety of dairy-free products.
  • Trader Joe’s – Known for its unique and affordable plant-based products, Trader Joe’s carries many meat alternatives, including deli slices, and a wide variety of dairy-free options.

As for goat’s milk, it’s a bit more niche, but there are several places in Orlando that may carry it:

  • Whole Foods Market – Whole Foods often carries goat’s milk, both in cartons and as yogurt. Check their dairy section or ask a store associate if you can’t find it.
  • The Fresh Market – Similar to Whole Foods, they have a selection of specialty dairy, including goat's milk.
  • Local health food stores – Smaller local stores may also stock goat's milk. If you're near downtown or Winter Park, there are several smaller health food stores you can check out.

For sandwiches, if you can’t find the exact Quorn products, you can also look for plant-based deli meats from brands like Tofurky, Field Roast, and Lightlife, which are commonly available at the stores listed above. They also offer a variety of dairy-free cheeses made from nuts or soy that might suit your needs.

I hope this helps, and you’re able to enjoy your meals without any hassle while you’re in Orlando!
