Husband and I got cheap flights to Orlando and are excited to get away for 3 nights in May. No parks and no car, so looking for a resort big enough that we don’t have to leave. Good restaurants/food is a must along with a pool that has pool side service for food and drink. Other than that, a nice room with a comfy bed would be the icing on top. We just want to relax!
I’m currently between the Rosen Shingle Creek (seems like it could be more adult oriented, lots of restaurants and 3 pools) and Lowe’s Sapphire (tropical Florida feel, newer rooms, access to City Walk, more lively and maybe more families). I also looked at the Omni, but it’s more $$ and further out but love the lazy river option. JW Marriott Grande Lakes looks amazing but is even more $$$. Alfond Inn looks very nice, but lacks the pool experience we are looking for.
Any thoughts comparing Rosen and Lowe’s Sapphire? Or other places I’m not thinking of?
For a 3-night adult-focused getaway in Orlando without a car or park visits, your priorities—good restaurants, poolside service, and a relaxing atmosphere—are key to choosing the right resort. Here’s a detailed comparison of the properties you mentioned and some additional options to consider.
Rosen Shingle Creek:
Loews Sapphire Falls:
Other properties to consider for adults-only or quieter resort experience:
Recommendation: If your main goal is a quiet, relaxing adult getaway with plenty of dining and a nice pool scene, Rosen Shingle Creek is likely the better fit. Lowe’s Sapphire Falls is more lively and Universal-focused, which may not align with your “just relax” goals. JW Marriott or Omni are excellent alternatives if you are willing to spend more for luxury and extensive poolside options.
