Thanksgiving buffet /meal

Hello. We are in the southeast corner of Colorado and our young adult daughters want to come to mountains for Thanksgiving for an overnight trip. Is there anywhere in Divide or towns either direction that does a nice meal or Buffett on Thanksgiving ?

Good question! Unfortunately, in Divide, CO itself (a very small mountain community), there don’t seem to be any well-publicized Thanksgiving buffets or big dining venues. But, within a reasonable drive (mostly in Colorado Springs and nearby), there are several very solid restaurants (or resorts) that *do* host Thanksgiving meals. Below are good options, plus some important notes and tips.

Nearby Thanksgiving Meal / Buffet Options

  • Cheyenne Mountain Resort – Mountain View Restaurant: The resort’s Mountain View Restaurant runs a Thanksgiving buffet. According to OpenTable for 2025, they have seatings and a holiday spread.
  • The Broadmoor: A classic luxury option. On Thanksgiving they serve a special dinner with turkey, but their Broadmoor Hall brunch buffet is one of the more festive and upscale choices in the region.
  • ViewHouse Colorado Springs: According to VisitCOS (the local tourism site), ViewHouse does a Thanksgiving brunch buffet with carving stations (turkey, ham), seafood, brunch favorites, and lots of dessert.
  • Oro at the Mining Exchange Hotel: If you're okay with a sit-down dinner (not buffet), their “Ringraziamento d’Oro” is a Tuscan-style Thanksgiving feast.
  • Pamela’s at Hotel Polaris: They are offering a Thanksgiving buffet / brunch-style meal.
  • Edelweiss Restaurant: For something more local and charming, they’re doing a traditional-style Thanksgiving dinner (not a buffet, but very solid holiday fare).
  • The Cliff House (Manitou Springs): Historic setting and known for its holiday dining. According to Pikes Peak region guides, they offer a Thanksgiving meal in a refined dining room.

Important Notes & Tips

  • Reservations are strongly recommended. Many of these places sell out for Thanksgiving.
  • Check *current* menus and pricing. Holiday offerings change year to year, and while these places had Thanksgiving specials in recent years, you’ll want to call or check their websites for the latest.
  • If buffet-style is a must, Cheyenne Mountain Resort and ViewHouse are your best bets nearby. The Broadmoor brunch can feel very “buffet-ish” but is more upscale.
  • If you want a cozy, mountain-y feel: Drive into Manitou Springs and do Thanksgiving at The Cliff House — beautiful surroundings and a warm, historic lodge vibe.
  • If your daughters and you are okay with a sit-down family-style dinner (rather than buffet), Oro and Edelweiss offer refined holiday meals.

Conclusion

While Divide doesn’t seem to have a big Thanksgiving buffet venue, you have excellent nearby options in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. For a true buffet experience, the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and ViewHouse are your top picks. For a more upscale, traditional holiday dinner, The Broadmoor, Oro, and The Cliff House are fantastic.
